Knitted Change Purse

Here I also used DMC #8 but I changed to #8 seed beads.  Using the larger seed beads gives the purse a puffier look.  I added a brass charm, crafted in Africa, to hold down the flap.

There is a wonderful book on the market by Lacis Publications, Classic Beading Purse Designs, by E. DeJong-Kramer. This books contains patterns from the simple (for the new knitter) to the very difficult (for the seasoned knitter).  My favorite patterns are the authentic vintage patterns, two of which I am working on now and will include them in my web site when they are finished.   The patterns in the book are applicable to loom beading and peyote stitch.  $15.00 (+3.00 shipping)
